What must I do to become a Detention Minister?
1. A mature individual who is caring, understanding, non-judgmental, and able to adapt to meet the needs of the inmates.
2. An individual who recognizes their call to respect, protect, love and serve all human life despite differences.
3. Interview with SFdA Detention Ministry coordinator.
4. Meet regularly with SFdA Detention Ministry team for support and formation.
5. Apply and complete background check through Coconino County Jail.
6. Commit to 1 or 2 visits per month:
Males-Tuesday evenings
Females-Saturday afternoon.
7. Complete a one-time training session at the jail. Next training January 24, 2012.
