Catechesis starts / We finish the Consecration

Happy Sunday!

Labor Day weekend is here! Somehow it always comes so quickly. I used to think when I was out of school summer that I would somehow slow down. How foolish of me! It was still a great summer. I got to spend it here and enjoy the beautiful weather. Now, school is back is session and catechesis is starting back up for children, teens, and adults. It’s great to see the parish so alive once again!

We have one week until the 33-day Consecration to Jesus through Mary is complete. I have been doing the version offered by St. Louis de Montfort. It is getting more involved as we go along, but nonetheless, very beautiful. Next Sunday, as we finish the Consecration, Nativity Chapel will be open. This is also the Feast Day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin. Even if you have not participated in this Consecration, please stop by the Chapel between 9:00am-3:00pm to pray. If you have been participating, this is a great place to say the final prayers of consecration.

¡Ya llegó el fin de semana del Día del Trabajo! De alguna manera, siempre llega muy rápido. Solía ​​pensar que cuando no tenía clases, el verano pararía más lentamente. ¡Qué tontería! Aun así, el verano fue genial. Pude pasarlo aquí y disfrutar del hermoso clima. Y ahora, las clases han iniciado, la catequesis está comenzando de nuevo para niños, adolescentes y adultos. ¡Es genial ver la parroquia tan viva una vez más!

Nos queda una semana para completar la Consagración de 33 días a Jesús por medio de María. He estado haciendo la versión ofrecida por San Luis de Montfort. Se está volviendo más complicada a medida que avanzamos, pero es muy hermosa. El próximo domingo, cuando terminemos la consagración, la capilla de la Natividad estará abierta. Este es también el día festivo de la Natividad de la Santísima Virgen. Incluso si no has participado en esta consagración, pasa por la capilla entre las 9 am y las 3 pm para orar. Si has estado participando, este es un gran lugar para decir las oraciones finales de la consagración.
