From Fellowship to Faith: Honoring Our Queen

Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone has had a great week. For the past month and half or so we have been doing donuts and coffee outside on Sunday mornings. I am grateful to our Knights of Columbus and the various ministries that have helped coordinate this. It's great to be able to step outside and enjoy fellowship before heading home on Sundays.

Last week on Friday we celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven. This Friday the Church celebrates her queenship. The Fourth Glorious Mystery of the Rosary is the Assumption of Mary and the Fifth is the Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

If you do not regularly pray the rosary I would invite you to pick up this practice. It is a beautiful way to meditate on the life of the Lord alongside His mother. She always directs us back to her Son and is a powerful intercessor before His throne in Heaven.

De la Hermandad a la Fe: Honrando a Nuestra Reina

¡Feliz domingo!

Espero que hayan tenido una excelente semana. Durante el último mes y medio, aproximadamente, hemos estado compar- tiendo donas y café al aire libre los domin- gos después de Misa. Agradezco a nuestros Caballeros de Colón y a los diversos minis- terios que han ayudado a coordinar esto. Es maravilloso poder salir y disfrutar de la compañía antes de ir a casa los domingos.

El viernes pasado celebramos la Solemni- dad de la Asunción de la Santísima Virgen María al cielo. Este viernes, la Iglesia cele- bra su realeza. El Cuarto Misterio Glorioso del Rosario es la Asunción de María y el Quinto es la Coronación de María como Reina del Cielo y de la Tierra.

Si no rezan el rosario con regularidad, los invito a que lo hagan. Es una hermosa manera de meditar sobre la vida del Señor junto a su Madre. Ella siempre nos dirige de nuevo a su Hijo y es una poderosa intercesora ante su trono en el Cielo.
