Confirmation / Mothers of Lu

Happy Sunday!

This weekend we welcomed Bishop Nevares to confer Confirmation and give First Communion to nearly 100 of our children and adult candidates! Thank you for keeping them all in your prayers! A special thanks to our staff and their teams for preparing everyone for their Sacraments. What a beautiful day!

You might have noticed in the bulletin a few weeks ago an advertisement for a mother’s prayer group called Mothers of Lu. Lu of Monferrato is a town in Italy where a group of mother’s from the town gathered together regularly to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life from their own children. From the town of Lu came 323 vocations, 152 priests and 171 women religious! We will be beginning our own group for mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, etc. to gather together and pray a holy hour every month for vocations from our own families. Tomorrow night, April 15th, will be the first Holy Hour at 6pm in the main church. Please come and join us!

¡Este fin de semana recibimos al Obispo Nevares para conferir la Confirmación y dar la Primera Comunión a casi 100 de nuestros niños y adultos candidatos! ¡Gracias por mantenerlos a todos en sus oraciones! Un agradecimiento especial a nuestro personal y sus equipos por preparar a todos para sus Sacramentos. ¡Qué hermoso día!

Es posible que hayas notado en el boletín de hace unas semanas un anuncio de un grupo de oración de madres llamado Madres de Lu. Lu de Monferrato es un pueblo de Italia donde un grupo de madres del pueblo se reunían periódicamente para orar por las vocaciones al sacerdocio y a la vida religiosa de sus propios hijos. ¡De la ciudad de Lu llegaron 323 vocaciones, 152 sacerdotes y 171 religiosas! Comenzaremos nuestro propio grupo para madres, abuelas, madrinas, etc. para reunirnos y orar una hora santa cada mes por las vocaciones de nuestras propias familias. Mañana por la noche, 15 de abril, será la primera Hora Santa a las 6 p.m. en la iglesia principal. ¡Ven y únete a nosotros!
